Here are these brilliant, brilliant blues, painted, of course, by the same artist about whom Wilkin, quoted in a 1973 letter from a mutual friend who suspected Feist might need a bit of encouragement to keep him going, once said, “In [his] brilliantly coloured paintings, the intensity of colour brings the paint up to the surface and holds it.”
